DU UG Admission 2024 Total Registration: Registrations are underway for admission to undergraduate courses in Delhi University. The last date for registration under the first and second phases is yet to be announced and according to reports, more than three lakh registrations have been done so far. There are 71 thousand seats in DU’s UG courses and the number of applications received is much more than the number of seats. It is expected that candidates can apply on the CSAS portal under the first and second phases till tomorrow i.e. 7 August and the total number of applications may increase further.
So many candidates completed the process
According to media reports, till now more than 3 lakh applications have been received for 71 thousand seats of DU UG. Out of these, around 2 lakh 36 thousand have completed their profile and around 93 thousand have also filled their college and course preference. Thus their Phase II has been completed.
tomorrow is the last date
Along with the first phase, the university has started registration for the second phase as well. The last date to apply for both of these is tomorrow i.e. 7 August 2024. Applications for undergraduate admission are going on through the Common Seat Allocation System. This process started after the CUET results were released.
Academic calendar also released
While registrations are going on in DU on one hand, on the other hand, Delhi University has also released the calendar of the new session i.e. academic year 2024-25. According to this, the first year classes will start from 29 August. According to the information given in the calendar, DU will start the new session from 29 August and the first semester examinations will be held from 6 January. After this, winter break will be given.
when will the summer holidays be
After the winter break of the first semester, the second semester will start from January 27. After this, a week’s mid-semester break will be available between 9 to 16 March 2024. End term theory exams will be conducted for second semester students from June 7. With this, the first year exams will be completed and summer holidays will be declared. These will be from June 29 to July 20.
Seat allocation will be done in the third round
Candidates are being admitted to UG courses through the score of CUET UG exam. After the first and second phases, there will be a Chitra phase. Seat allocation will take place in this. It can also be called an admission round. After this, classes will start from the end of this month.
